Finally, I’ve finished my book on the Microsoft Technology Associate 98-364 exam: Database Fundamentals. It’s available in the iTunes book store:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/id1043228558
I decided to make it an iBook, since this format provides a combination of text, screenshots, screencasts and interactive test questions. This combination enables me to explain each piece of information the easiest way. Some material, you just have to read to understand; other material is best demonstrated in a video. iBooks provides all this, which makes it a format I’m very excited about!
For those of you who do not have a device capable of reading iBooks, there is also a Kindle version, which you can read on a Kindle device or in a browser. It is available on Amazon. Here’s the link to the US Amazon site:
Hi.. can you please make this book available at Apple store India?
I’ll look into it. Meanwhile, it is already available in the Amazon India store. There, you can buy the Kindle eBook, which you can read on your Kindle device or in Amazons Cloud Reader.
Hi, I just bought the book but for some reason I’m not able to install AdventureWorks. Could it be because of the version of SQL Server I’m using? FYI…I’m using the 2017 Express version. Also, do you think using this version will help me as I am trying to take the 98-364 exam?
Thanks
Thank you for buying the book! I haven’t tried using 2017 Express version. Therefore, I recommend you install a developer edition, which you can download from the Microsoft web site. Whether you use SQL 2008, 2012, 2014 or 2017 will not make a difference for the 98-364 exam. The fundamentals haven’t changed. The screen shots will obviously differ a bit from the book, though.
If you install the developer edition, and still can’t restore the AdventureWorks database, send me the error message, and maybe I can help.
Hello, I recently bought the kindle version and I’m having trouble viewing the tables: only half of the table content is shown despite me zooming in/out. Would you please post the tables somewhere here? Thanks a lot.
Sorry to hear that. I will post them here, but that will take me some time. Meanwhile, have you tried reading in the Amazon Cloud Reader (https://read.amazon.com/)? Personally, that’s how I read the eBooks I’ve bought (at least the technical ones).
Hello Jas,
You can find the screenshots of the tables here:

Hope this helps!
